Leela Cyd is a Photographer based in L.A and Portland, Oregon whom I discovered by following links back from a divine home interior photo. (side note: following links back to their original source can lead you to fabulous new sites!) While she's new to me she is the photo guru behind Apartment Therapy and The Kitchen where she offers photography tips.
On her website, Leela Cyd Photography, I found a series of photos she has taken titled Made in Portland, where she captures images of the behind the scenes from local Portland businesses. I adore behind the scenes photos and of course, being a Portland native myself, I couldn't help but get a little giddy about the opportunity to see local artisans in action. Leela was gracious enough to give me permission to share some photos from this series. This is just a sample of her work that can be found on her site, so definitely go grab a cup of coffee and follow the links here back to her site, which is filled with amazing story-telling photos from interiors to travel to food!
All images are copy-write of Leela Cyd. Please link with love.

Wow...I love the "in progress," behind the scene shots. They really give you an idea of the people behind the company!
ReplyDeleteme too. sometimes an object can seem pretty or cool or what have you, but when you see the work that goes into it just shows how special it really is. it is as though you can see and feel the love that goes into every little thing.
DeleteI love the ice cream shot of everything looking as if it just fell off of a tray. I love the seemingly 'imperfect shots. Thanks!
ReplyDeletei agree that is one of my favorites too. leela is a gifted photographer for sure.
DeleteI've always found it entertaining to look at "behind the scenes" photos. It gives me a peek into what really happens. Excellent shots there :)
ReplyDeleteme too, i always find them so intriguing.
Deletelove these photos. and those mini creamers are gorgeous!
ReplyDeletei love them too! i love how the process looks so messy but the result is so minimalistic and clean.
DeleteShe sure knows how to tell a story. That's a true photographer...and now I want ice cream. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteit was difficult to choose which photos to share (she has so many gorgeous ones) but i knew the ice cream one was in right away, it looks so yummy!
