Photo Diary / 4 / Color

I tend to be a person who leans towards the neutrals in my aesthetic. My house is mostly light white sandy colors with grey, black and white, some very small hints of dusty blues and pinks and yellows. I never pick more than a few colors to go in a room or to wear. But I love color! I love bold turquoise and rich red and sunshine yellow. I love color combinations that make me feel like I am in another world where people dance in the streets, flash genuinely happy smiles and music is always magically playing in the air. While I might not relish in all those other fabulous and more vibrant colors in my home, I love, love, love to find them in my world, they make me happy, they make me feel alive and in the moment. Here are some photos I have captured where color has really captured me. School art, bold brick, a red balloon, the beach and some yummy yummy dinner.

Where do you find color in your world?

  1. I absolutely love the shadow picture with the red balloon. How did you do that?

  2. Thanks Shannon! We went for a long walk to the store one day last week and ended up with a couple red ballons. I simply noticed that the sun and shadow was doing all the work for me and snapped the shot. But to recreate this: it was about 5pm, the sun was directly behind us - which is what made the balloon glow.

  3. Christine.. great pictures!! I really like your dinner choice!!! ;) Grace, peace and blessings... Carla

  4. Love these pictures. So summery!
