The rain came back over the weekend just like they said it would. It made me feel like doing nothing more than remaining in a state of utter coziness by reading (current book: Jane Eyre - how I missed this when I was younger I will never know. I read Nathaniel Hawthorn when I was 12 for goodness sake!), eating fried potatoes and hearty veggies with melted cheese on top and lighting lots of sandalwood and fig scented candles around my house. Of course I did some serious pinning while lounging around too - keeping with the cozy I was drawn to these images.

Hope you all had a fabulous weekend and are ready for the new week.

  6. That sweater looks marvellously cozy. And Jane Eyre is wonderful (but I don't think the movie did it justice).

    1. i have seen all the movies and loved them. but of course i hadn't read the book. there's maybe two books i have read where the movie was better and it was simply because the books were so terrible. so far i am loving it! i read the secret garden about 15 times when i was young and i bet i would have loved this book then. i think not reading this when i was younger maybe one of my only regrets! so good!

  8. Mmmm sandalwood and fig scented candles. I never lean towards sandalwood somehow, I'm always drawn to vanilla and fruity scents. And rose. So, like an old lady's kitchen. :) What a cosy set of photos, I'll curl up in that sweater in that little peaked-ceiling nook with a good book. I love Pinterest-binges, they are so much fun. Happy Monday!

    1. oh, glad i am not alone! of course i haven't read all the classics but this is the one that made me feel most guilty, i think because i just know how much i would have enjoyed it if i read it as a girl. i was way into that sort of thing.
