Swatch Tarts

Dont' you just love these pantone swatch tarts?! If you haven't seen this before you can see the whole collection at Griottes

Today I am working like a busy bee on embroidery orders and playing catch up. Last night I stayed up way too late (hence the very late post!) working on a blog design for a good friend of mine. Sometimes I think that would be a really fun career as I can get lost in it but I realize that it also really brings out the crack smoker in me (not literally of course - just another silly american saying). If you want to check it out and tell me what you think that would be so great! It's difficult to see things objectively after staring at a screen for about 9 hours straight - though of course I can see all the imperfections! You can find the site here! xoxo

  1. I love the way the site turned out! I know how hard it is to be objective and see it from a different perspective when you spend so long working on something, but really, that's great. Is the font on the sidebar Oswald, by chance? I love it.

And I'm a huge sucker for Pantone, so those swatch tarts are right up my alley. So sweet!

  2. Oh I love it! I love the cutout feel of the header and that knife is perfect. What a great, classic color. :)

Any tips or resources for someone interested in learning about building/designing a site?

    1. i wish i knew what i was doing so that i could give you tips. i literally have no idea! i do something and i hate it then i search the web for 6 hours trying to figure out how to fix it. i have discovered using CSS code to adjust things is really much easier because HTML makes me really nervous! but if you have any questions about something specific you can email me - i bookmark a lot of little things for future reference.

  6. I always dabbled a bit in html and design, but as for having I real talent - I don't have it. You however, have it! I love your simple and bold aesthetic, it's always eye catching and fits perfectly to theme!

    1. oh, man, those are such nice compliments and i am pretty sure i don't deserve them. i got that done with less talent and more tenacity. it took me like 24 hours to do that - i am pretty sure it's probably an hours worth of work for someone with actual skillz. but thank you, geez, so nice! xoxoxo
