Since I was a little girl nothing sounded more perfect than having an apartment in Paris. I used to watch old french movies and daydream about living a life that resembled a Godard movie.  I still have yet to visit this city of my dreams but thanks to the internet I get to peek inside a Paris apartment every once in awhile. There are a few elements I really love in this apartment - the hard lines mixed with the soft color pallet and a pop of color, the mix of old with new and modern furnishings. I am also partial to designs where a bookshelf is a focal point. For more photos and details about this loft and the furnishings within it visit here. Have a happy weekend and I will be crossing my fingers that those without power on the east coast get it back lickety split! xo

Oh and I just got word yesterday that I was voted as one of the 25 creative blogs by Skinny Scoop. I also found out Jee of Oh How Civilized nominated me, thank you xo

  2. It's really beautiful. Doesn't actually says "Parisian" to me, but I guess I live in a cliche world sometimes. :D I am with you on dreaming of living in Paris - I think it's the most beautiful place in the world. x

  3. I'm sorry, I can't comment. I'm too busy weeping onto my keyboard at the beauty of this house. Siiiiigh. Everything in Paris is incredible. It's so unfair! I LOVE that bathroom, and those counter stools, and the bookshelf wall, and the little metal cafe chair with the scarf an fedora perfectly placed on top...SIGH. Major swooning happening over here. Have a great weekend, Christine! What a great way to kick it off :) xoxo

  6. Oh wow, I love this apartment for the very reasons you mention...i.e., you took the words right out of my mouth. We have that same floor tile in our guest bath. It's a beautiful, old school look.
I will also keep my fingers crossed that people get their power back, as well as some normalcy after all this craziness. Sigh...
PS~Congratulations on your vote/nomination; Pretty cool!

  7. Congrats, Christine! Your blog is beautiful!

Love the bedroom sliding doors. One thing I would change is to get the curtains hemmed so it just grazes the floor. Just imagine the dust that must collect dragging on the floor like that! Ha.

  8. Yet another reason we get along, I would love nothing more than an apartment in Paris! I got to live the dream two years ago for three weeks, we rented an apartment in the middle of the city. It was so lovely, a time I will never forget. I too love the pop of color in that apartment, especially the red lines on the light bulbs against a white wall. And congrats on the 25 best! I think it is so well deserved!
