Hope everyone had a great weekend! I was having a pretty excellent one myself until I got the flu on Saturday night. The same flu I was so pleased with myself for not getting from my kids last week, d'oh! Good thing I am healthy of the mind and spirit because my body is having some trouble not getting injured or sick lately. Well, without further ado here is another of my favorite places to give, the story behind this organization gives me the warm fuzzies every time I read it.
The organization, Krochet Kids International, was founded by a few snow lovin' guys who took up the art of crochet. One of "the guys," Kohl Crecelius CEO and founder, was taught by his older brother to crochet. he then in turn taught a couple of his guy friends. (Um, how awesome is that?!) While in high school they started selling their hats to admires. Fast forward several years and they started the Krochet Kids non-profit in an effort to empower others to rise above poverty - by crocheting of course. For more info watch the video and check out their site. It is nothing short of inspiring. Another fabulous way to get a gift and give a gift.
