I don't know about all of you but the recent holiday and the break I took to enjoy it, has left me dragging my feet back to my usual routines. To remedy this and get inspired to resume postings here that aren't all holiday related I have been surfing the web for some fresh material (I also erased all signs of the holidays with a good cleaning and purging of all things red/green/sparkly). I ran across this website, Coffeeklatch, created by Magali Elali and Bart Kiggin. It is quite similar to one of my all-time favorite sites, Freunde von Freunde, both offer an insiders peek to creatives, with interviews and photos. For me it's kind of like driving at night and straining your neck to see the inside of peoples homes that leave their curtains open and their lights on, but without the fear of getting caught or hitting a parked car. (I am not the only one that does that, right?) In fact it's much better because you get a little insight to the person/s within those windows. This is a sample of one their amazing interviews with Frederic Hooft, an interior designer and vintage retailer. The first thing that caught my eye was that lovely fireplace. It has been freezing cold here the last couple days and I have been dreaming of a perfect little fireplace just like this one. Or maybe one like this.
