House Tour | A Swedish Family Home |

If I had the resources at my disposal to create the perfect little home for me and my guys I think it would look a lot like this. I love all the white. The white bed, the white floors and walls, the white accent furniture. I love the old architectural features like those beautiful windows and doors, the crown molding in the kitchen. I love how they have incorporated enough color and warmth to make the space feel cozy and kid friendly, yet it remains subtle enough to still keep an airy and sophisticated feeling throughout. I love that it even has an odd little mix of a modern and rustic kitchen and how all of these elements work so well together. I love a lot about this home which belongs to interior stylist, Emma Perrson Lagerberg and her family. These gorgeous photos were taken by the amazing Petra Bindel (click her link! good stuff awaits.).

Hope you all have a great weekend! Even though I work from home and my weekdays are pretty much only marked by the fact that I blog M-F and have to get Fisher off to school, and this was in fact a short week, I feel so relieved to have made my way through it! I think my weekend will be spent continuing to try to catch up from my holiday brain fog and imagining all the projects I would like to tackle in my non-imaginary home this year. I have so many things I want to do/so many things I wish were done yesterday!

  1. I would love to dive into that library. And I like the kitchen in white, green and natural wood.
Happy New Year, Christine! My best wishes for 2013!

  2. Oh I love the kitchen details and the foot-to-foot beds. I immediately thought, I want to do that with my two kiddos' beds! And I don't even have kids... :)

  5. I have to admit that this post gives me a little bit of the sads. Not your fault, she says, waving hands and backing away madly! We had a chance to go to Sweden this spring, and now, because of the timing, only my husband will be making the trip. Le sigh. But like you, if I could start from scratch, I'd do it pretty much this way too. After years and years of color, I've been moving more and more toward white. And everytime my husband or someone else says, "I just love the blue wall in this room!" I think, "damn."

happy weekend, dear. re-entry is ROUGH!

  6. Yeah, I'm a total fan of all-white homes. They get such a bad rap for being "cold" or "sterile" but this just proves them wrong! I have white floors in one room of our house (laminate, not painted original wood like those beauts) and I can't tell you how much I love them. And how much I hate vacuuming them, because hello!, everything shows on white floors. I think you pulled it together beautifully this week, darling! Don't be so hard on yourself! Have a great weekend!

  8. This home looks amazing! It makes me want to start painting every surface in our house white too. And that bookcase makes me want one like that as well...I am also still struggling getting back into my pre holiday groove. Hopefully everything will be back to normal after the weekend. Have a great one!

  12. I really really like the Scandinavian type look but cannot for the life of me find a house with white wood floors. :)
