Pins Of The Week: New Year Inspiration

Yesterday I declared that I do not make new years resolutions and that is true most simply because I say and think of many things throughout each day so I am bound to get a verbal commitment confused with my mere ramblings and various thoughts. But images and feelings I do remember. Images are also great at evoking feelings, so with that, this is my non-new years resolution-inspiration-for the new year-visual. Hopefully I can remember what each of these photos represents. In a nutshell it all revolves around organization and revamping: my business, my bedroom (this is in the desperate phase of needing attention) and my workspace (most organizing there needs to be done in my mind). As well added to this list is thinking positively and making time to enjoy the comforts of the home I work so hard on with a book - much more often. Thanks to Rooth I finally cracked open the copy of The Night Circus I bought a few months back, so far I am picking it back up every chance I get!

  1. I love that pin of the black wall with all the little pictures washi-taped to it. LOVE it. And the one of the girl reading. And the bedroom with the slanted ceilings. We stayed in a small hotel in Bruges that had a bedroom like that, and it was the coziest thing in the world. Love your pins! Your boards always make me feel inspired.
I bought my sister-in-law The Night Circus for her birthday without having read it myself. Let me know what you think of it!

  2. Clay pots + green plants = a classic. Your visual inspiration reminds me of making time for simple living and not getting too caught up in the latest thing. I like how everything here is classic and it's something i would love to keep in mind for 2013 as well :)

  3. Happy New Year to you and yours Christine! I follow you on Pinterest and repin the beauties you find on a regular basis and these will be no exception! It’s that beautiful reading chair that has caught my eye now! What I would give to be curled up in it!

  4. Happy New Year Christine!

New year-visual looks so much more appealing and interesting than a list of resolutions. I like what you pulled together for this post.

  5. I haven't made resolutions yet this year..mainly because I am still trying to catch up with the end of 2012 in my head. Beautiful images- I could see how they would inspire.
    Happy 2013 Christine!

  6. Yummy pins! I had to click over to your pinterest board and started following your boards. Will have to repin some of your images. I love the black wall on the first image with all the images stuck on the wall for inspiration.

  8. I love all these pins, Christine. Inspiring for me. As I started to make my list for 2013, I looked back at 2012 and found that I didn't do all that badly. Partly that's because I give myself some wiggle room when I make my resolutions, but I do hold them lightly. If I screw up, I screw up, ya know! This idea, of being visual, is brilliant. I love it.
