Via | Simon Watson |

I am not one that would normally fall in love with a home where the interior is panelled in wood from floor to ceiling but this place is amazing and proves to me, never say never. I am in love with this place. I also think Simon Watson's photographs perfectly capture the warm and dreamy essence of this Swiss home. Those large windows and all the gorgeous plant life, someone definitely had a vision when they built this home and a lovely one it was. This place just makes me want to take a nap and putter about. This does not look like a place to rush or worry in and I like that.

  1. My reaction is just the same as yours. All that wood? Normally I'd think it a bit much, but those photos make it seem so soothing, and I'd imagine in the midst of a dark Swiss winter it would feel warm and bright. Stunning home...thanks for sharing!

  6. I agree with you on the amount of wood. But, the views might definitely make up for it.

  7. It's beautiful and you are so right in your description. When I was admiring the photos, I was thinking about the simplicity and calmness of the home. They certainly selected the perfect photographer in Simon Watson to capture the home's essence. Those windows!

  8. I'm just picturing how dreamy it must smell in there with all that pine! 'Snug' is the first word that comes to mind.

  9. I wonder if this is a fire hazard. I love wood floors but I'm not sure I'm sold on the wood all over look.

  10. It proves what a crazy person I am that my first though upon seeing those vaulted ceilings in the living room, my first thought was, "How do you dust all the way up there to make sure there aren't any spiders?" Ha! And of course this house is Swiss. Of course!

  11. You know, I think I'd be okay with wood paneling if it all looked like the interior of this home
