Process of Elimination Part II

Wednesday, May 1, 2013

Remember awhile back when I said I am really indecisive? And remember when I shared some logos I was working on? And do you also remember awhile back I said I was working on creating a my own online store (outside of Etsy)? Well this post is a culmination of all of the above (thus far).

The good news is all your feedback on my beginning logo designs really helped me get the overall feeling that I was going for and also gage what you all responded to in the designs as well. The other good news is that I started working on setting up my store. I really couldn't choose a logo until I could see it in action, so setting up the shop and inserting logos helped me to fine tune it all.

The bad news is instead of boiling it down to two, as I had hoped, I only eliminated a few and then added a couple more - so now instead of six I have five (I take serious baby steps). The other bad news is I am still superbly indecisive. So I have come back to ask for your opinions one more time (I swear this is it!). I like all of them for different reasons (cue indecision), so if you like one over the others that is  exactly what I need (help!). I am going to definitely choose one of these - no more going back to the drawing board (that doesn't count resizing or a little color swapping). But I need to pick one and check it off my list. So it's vote time friends.

On a side note I will be taking tomorrow off from blogging, another baby step, one towards moving to the MWF schedule for a little while I tackle some of the many things on my to-do list. Happy May!!

  1. HARD! I'm going to have to come back. It's early and I have a headache. I will say that I'd like to eliminate #3 because I can't see your pillows at all really in that one, but there are bits and pieces of the others I like for other reasons. I'll have Neel and Cal take a look too. I always have to get them to weigh in on stuff for me! Baby steps, indeed! This is great progress! Wish I had a thimbleful of your talent, sister-dear! XO

  2. SERIOUSLY HARD! I hope this helps but the first and last one are my favourite pics – I think it will look fab with either one! Good luck with tackling your to-do list!

  3. I really like 2, though the handcrafted is a little hard to read (though may just me my dodgy computer screen making it too pale!), and that photo is my favourite! They are all great though :)

  4. As I scrolled down I decided that I liked one more than the next! Like you, I feel these are all so great. The only thing I am definite about is that my least favorite is option three with the ribbon. If I had to chose one out of the others... I suppose I'd have to pick option 5 - although I love option 2 almost as much! I'm really feeling those colors and that font for Plumed. Now, to narrow down the symbol - I adore the feather and to me it feels so much more "plume-y". But this has been a hard choice for me as well! I don't blame you for being indecisive about this!

  5. Oh, I love nos. 2 & 4! But they're all lovely. It's like picking a favorite kid! I was stumped enough last time trying to pick a favorite logo, and it's so subjective to each person's eyes. At the end of the day, YOU have to love one of them the most. Ha, the pressure is all on you! Can I just say I adore those new pillows though?? How fab are they! Want want want. xoxo

  6. I know I can never pick just one when you ask...but I really like 1 (because it shows the 'plume') and 3 (because I like that "handcrafted" is in a banner)
    You're almost there Christine!

  7. Oh crap. I am super indecisive too! Hahaha. I think I like one and two the best. Really they are all adorable and I know that's not helpful, but it's true. You have been busy!

  8. Okay, here's the only way I can help (I came back, did you notice?!) because I can't actually narrow it down to a final one. If you're going to lush and cozy, I like #1 the best. That is a plumed nest that I want to dive into and never come out of. If you're going for elegant and minimal, I like #5, the pillow highlights a room, bringing a gorgeous shot of luxury. And the handcrafted and feather still highlight the nature of the nest. If you're really, really making ME choose, I tend toward minimal, so I'd probably pick five, BUT, if the goal is to want people to luxuriate in a sofa of your gorgeous decadent pillows (of which I must now have a dozen), then maybe #1.

  9. I'm going to be useless. I love 2 and 4. And if you were hoping to work the feather in then I also like 5. Ugh, you see. Here's the upside, you've got some really good options from which to choose. You did a fantastic job and it looks like you've been very productive getting things done. I think I mentioned this already, but I'll tell you again, your new designs are beautiful. Can you hear us collectively cheering for you? Go, Christine! :)

  10. I love the first one and the last one. I don't think you can go wrong with any of these though, which is probably why it's so hard to choose!

  11. I like the first header (I think that logo is very suggestive for your brand, it elegantly encapsulates everything you want to transmit) and the photo with the chair.

  12. You are making it SO hard to decide. The first one! (I think?)
