Looking at individual elements of this apartment there are so many things I love. The white floors, ceilings and walls, that curved wall in the study. The beautiful moldings and wide open feeling of every room. I also love how they have incorporated almost every single one of my favorite chairs into their design while still feeling very cohesive - I am sure I could never pull that off quite so well. And while it has a (teensy-tiny) bit more of an overall masculine feel to it than I would normally be drawn to I can't help but be taken in by the all subtle elements of drama you can find in every room. And that bedroom - the ombre effect of those curtains with the black light fixture against all the white is so simple and elegant.

  1. I too am completely smitten with those curtains! In my favorite color too - dark purple :)

  2. The curtains are my favorite part, too! They're just such a shock of color against the rest of the white of the whole apartment. I love white floors and walls. If given the chance I'd make my entire house have white floors and walls. As it stands, I only have one room, but I have plans for white-flooring-domination! :) And yeah, I need those curtains, too.

  3. Love the curtains and actually really like the bed...the simplicity of it all is perfect. I could probably never pull this off in my own house, but it's nice to look at! :)

  4. I adore the simplicity of this house and how it still doesn't feel lifeless. Hints of natural wood here and there and of course those curtains. What a gorgeous luxury in that bedroom?! I love the sheen on the floors too. Really, really nice one Christine. You needed a bit of peace like this, I imagine!

  5. Another great home, Christine! It makes me want to paint all my walls white right now. I do like the masculine touches, and the use of black and wood throughout. The deep wine color of those curtains and the fact that they're a bit sheer is all so wonderfully dramatic, in just the right way. Great find!

  7. The ceiling detail wins me over. I really also like the warm caramel tones sprinkled throughout.

  8. Gorgeous 'warmth' within the back + white colors ... the wood tones make it sooo cozy. When can I move in ;)

  9. This is so beautiful and elegant. But I can't imagine how hard it would be to keep clean. It actually makes me pained to think of how careful you'd have to be to keep it nice.

    Cheers.

  11. It's soooooo clean!! I mean you could eat off those floors! Since I am currently surrounded by piles of washing, dust and packing boxes, I want to crawl through my screen, curl up on that sofa and enjoy the meticulously organised clutter!

  12. The white floors actually freak me out! First, I got stressed because I started thinking about how difficult they would be to keep clean and there's just something a little disconcerting about all white everywhere.
