If you remember from my Friday post I was ready for a quiet weekend of unwinding and a new week to begin. Our weekend was just as I had hoped, nice and mellow. Lots of long meandering walks, reading, snuggles and giggles. And in between all that I somehow accomplished to get some much needed deep cleaning done in the house. It always feels so heavenly to relax in dust-bunny free, refrigerators cleaned, laundry is caught-up house, it truly has to be one of my favorite things in the world. I think having the intention to relax and be stress-free made all the difference. I didn't quite feel I was fighting time or a list or that I had do anything at all if I didn't want to. Everything was a choice and somehow it made it all better, more enjoyable. I need to figure out this formula for future reference.

Last night I also started cleaning up my computer. Agh, how I hoard images and files I don't need! Is this a problem for anyone else? I made folders and categorized everything and did a lot of adding to the trash bin. My computer is already running much faster so I am feeling motivated to finish the task. How was your weekend? Any plans for the week ahead? August is almost here already, I can't believe it!

  2. I have weekend envy! Yours sounds delightful. All I can say is that my house is clean. Sigh. No, it was better than that. Really. Oh, the computer work. Mine needs it bad! If you've seen my instagram draweraday cleanup, I think I'm going to start doing a 10 minute a day computer cleanup too. Not nearly as photogenic as perfectly arranged drawers though! ;)

  3. This weekend looks incredible. Light and love filled. I'm so happy you got one! Just what you needed :) I have to say I'm a bit of a hard-drive-cleaning addict. I don't keep a bunch of things on my computer except for the essentials and I'm always emptying my trash bin, haha. xo

  8. Your weekend sounds so nice Christine! I cleaned too and it's the best feeling, especially when it's not with a time limit - ie, guests are showing up in 2 hours, lol. Loving you photos too!

  9. Great minds think alike because I also spent the weekend deep cleaning and cleaning old files off my laptop (although I got distracted once or twice). Here's to an equally productive week!

  11. Your weekend sounds lovely! Oh, I envy your dust bunny free home, I feel like we are always having some hop around the house. As for my computer I should really go through all my photos and delete the bad ones and start having a better filing system...Maybe next weekend?

  12. Although I despise the process, having a clean house is one of the best things ever (carpet with vacuum lines - yes!). Glad you had a peaceful yet productive weekend

  13. I can't believe it's August either! Wasn't it just February yesterday? Glad to hear you had a relaxing weekend. I haven't had one of those in a while. I always seem to be racing against time. I wish I could just take one weekend off and sit and read and watch movies, and maybe sleep the entire day haha.
