There is a lot I love about this place which was designed by Techné in Melbourne. It wonderfully joins two of my favorite styles together. With all of the modern elements like the big windows, clean lines, open floor plan. And the vintage architectural features like the fireplaces, moldings and wide planked wood floors; it is, as of right now, my current fall dream house. And if you click on this link to see all the photos I left out (I am a stickler for having the same sized images on my blog and I didn't feel like resizing) you will see why. I think I could just live inside that little bookshelf nook, and that hallway, oh my.

  1. You're spot on with saying there is so much to love about this apartment, I cannot make up mu mind what I like most about this place. Maybe it is the bookshelf nook too and how cute are the kids books stuffed into the fireplace, always ready to be picked up by the little one.

  2. That hallway! Oh gracious! I'm totally with you about the perfect mix of contemporary and old world features. Wide plank floors. Fire places. Marry that with wide wide windows and high ceilings and I am SOLD. Good choice on this one. (Although the books in the fireplace make me think of burning books, which I'm sure was not their intention! ;) )

  4. The concrete floors did it for me, too. I love the sense of scale the owners played with when it came to the lighting. The tiny bedside lamp, and the giant pendant light in the hallway. Smartly done! And of course, those original fire places are a dream, and that bookshelf wall! Swoon. xo

  5. i really like mid century furniture like the wooden side board and crib with legs like that. i think that looks so chic on wooden floors. what's even better is how there is wood floors next to concrete floors - such a lovely combo.
