First I just want to say thanks for all the super kind and thoughtful comments yesterday (and emails too). Blogging is a funny thing. It's open to the whole world and in between the house tours and i want all of these things! posts you also make these really special bonds and connections with people after awhile. I am grateful for that. I am grateful I get to not always be totally superficial with you people ;) and that you, in kind, do the same.

Now for todays post. I don't know what the weather is like in the rest of the world but it's been raining almost non-stop here for days. Until yesterday, in fact, it did rain for four days straight, and I am not talking sprinkles, torrential downpours. I guess we bled our summer dry, or not in this case and it just couldn't go out gracefully. It was done. It's been black and grey and rusty and so very moody. Like this moodboard but if you imagined it shivering with rain on top.

  1. Okay, today I'm committed to commenting the minute I read! ;) It has NOT been raining here, for months, well, weeks now, and that's just what I'm in the mood for. *This* moodboard. I'm yearning for blustery skies and blowing leaves and grabbing at your hood before it blows off your head and drenches you before you rush from the car to the house. And THEN lighting fires and making stew or chili or hot cocoa or tea. So this moodboard? Yeah. That.

  2. Charcoal is a fancier gray, and we all know how much I love gray. Can we have some rain, please? It's the perfect weather here recently, but it's just too bright for my taste ;) Rain = cuddling on the sofa weather, and I think I could use a day like that (with Fitz, obvs. Not replacing J or anything, haha).

You're right about blogs. I've made some amazing friends through blogging, it's nutty. There's certainly the element of fluff, but the deeper relationships are what I treasure most of all. xo

  3. It's been sunny and bright here - summer's showing off before she puts her fancy dresses away for the fall. I've been feeling a bit of a greyish as well lately. Maybe it's a reaction to the weather everywhere else. Trade you a bit o' sunshine?

  4. I love your mood boards. your last one already inspired me to make my own, I just never got around to posting it... lovely :)

it's hot and sunny here. you can have some of it. I'd literally kill for some fresh air :)

  5. This is just a gorgeous mood board Christine, it's textured and raw in a way that I really love. Hope you are feeling a little better and doing some nice things for yourself--taking some time off always helps a little I find.

    xo Mary Jo

  6. Perfect mood board for this season. I would love to just crawl into those pictures and stay there for a while.
