House Tour | Chay Wike |

When I read about this house tour I was surprised to find out that this gorgeous home is in the Hollywood Hills. I don't know where I expected it to be, but I certainly imagined some place slightly more remote than outside of L.A.; it just looks so tranquil and serene. I love all the light that floods every room, the soft rustic elements and all of the interior design choices; it looks like it is such a lovely place to both relax and to be creative. In fact this is the home of creatives Chay Wike, fashion designer and owner of Chay, and her husband Mark Wike. You can see another tour of her home here at Apartment Therapy.

  2. for hollywood, it seems so out of place! it's a home that i could imagine in topanga canyon if anything. what has me swooning is that copper hood, so shiny!

  3. Beautiful. This is random but I really like the plants scattered about. Hmm, and maybe I need an animal throw for my butterfly chair...

  5. Oh I never would have pegged it as LA, either! I was thinking somewhere in Portugal or Spain for some reason. And that puppy in the first picture could be Marla at quick glance! I love the industrial feel throughout the place, especially that island in the kitchen! xo

  8. I think maybe you need to move in with me. Or go house hunting with me at least. I think it would be a lot easier than trying to get Neel to come around to my way of thinking! ;) So much to love about this house. The Spanish style wouldn't translate here, but much of the interior would, and it's the interior I really adore.

  9. It looks like a home in maybe New Mexico or like Palm Desert. There is something warm about it with the maybe western touches.

  10. Oh my goodness, yes to this entire place. The bedroom, the studio, the eating places - I love it all. Please tell me there are stables in the backyard too

  11. I don't know what I like more, the console table and modern art piece spot, the, shall i call it, reading nook surrounded by exposed brick walls and large windows, the work space or the beautiful backyard? I think I love the entire house as a whole. It looks elegant, but cosy and unpretentious, too.
