Sunlit and Plant-filled

Monday, April 7, 2014

Oh Monday, it's you again. Weren't you just here? This weekend didn't last quite as long as I was hoping. I didn't get as much done as I was hoping either (i blame it on the copious amounts of rain we have been having). Though I did make 120 more gigabytes of space on my computer by erasing a lot of photos and old files, and really, that was a pretty big check off my to-do list. And here we are on to a new week, and this, I think, will be a good one because we are suppose to be getting lots of sunshine and temperatures in the 60's and 70's.

Which leads me to this beautiful light and bright space. I am not calling this officially a 'house tour' because I am not one-hundred percent certain that it is all the same house (though I think it is - you can see many of the photos of this Portland home here and based on my detective work I am 98% certain it is.). I do know that all the photos are all taken by the extraordinarily talented Jaclyn Campanaro. The images here are why I am trying to turn my brown thumb into a green one. The plants are just such a beautiful feature in this home. It looks so alive and inviting. I also love all the gorgeous textiles too. I want to reach through my computer screen and grab that basket of blankets by the dresser.

  1. As a non-plant person, I admire the variety and liveliness of all those indoor plants. That would never happen at my home - no way no how. I hope that you're able to get out and enjoy the sunny weather. I've been waiting for it here on our end. I know we need the rain but seriously, my nerves can't take it any more

  2. There's a plant in the shower!! That is cracking me up for some reason. My home is the opposite of this one: un-sunlit (except for a few glorious hours mid-day) and not even a basil plant can survive. So this is kind of a dream. xo

  3. There is a line for me where plants cross from stunning and beautiful into cluttered and this house is almost there for me. Almost. I want that one in the shower. Oh, for a sunny bath. But maybe my scalding showers wouldn't work so much anymore. ;) The whole house is so bright and light. Love.

  6. Oh, to have this much beautiful natural light in my home would be a dream come true. I am also trying to change my brown thumb ways. Right now I am up to 4 house plants, but soon I hope to add a few more.
