This beautifully redesigned farm house-turned loft in South of Sweden has such beautiful light and is one of the things that really caught my eye in this home. One of my favorite things about this time of year is that we still have sunshine (or more of it at least. a lot more of it this year), the air still has a hint of warmth, the days are still long and the leaves start to fall. This means that the light can make it's way in my windows a bit more through the trees and I find it falling in all sorts of beautiful ways throughout the day. If I were planning to move - which I am not, but say I was, whether I was looking to build, find an already-perfect-place, or a place to renovate, the light would be one of the first things on my must-haves list. And I would be more than happy to use this home as inspiration.

  1. Hmmm... wow. This house would pretty much have to go on the "dream" list for me. For so many reasons! The light, of course. I mean, duh. It's so hard to pay attention to the light when you're looking at houses. I mean, you pretty much have to sit there all day, and I don't think realtors let you do that. :(

After that those concrete floors, and tile walls with pops of color. The clad ceiling and that bathroom. I love it all!

  2. oh yeah, i 100% agree. natural light is everything and very greatfully appreciated when the days get shorter. i love how this place has white walls, open space, and high ceilings to really brighten it up. chasing light is also one of my favorite things - so fun to photograph.

  3. Oh yes, natural light! Lucky is the person who has a lot of it. Ironically the room with the best light in my house, is also the room that we have the least use for. I have been thinking about turning it into a studio for myself. This house is so serene. : )

  4. GASP, what a dream house! and if it weren't gorgeous's in the middle of the swedish countryside. that rustic farm table looking out to the woods is just perfect. hope you're having a great week :)

  5. I'll take it! My place gets plenty of light but very little greenery during the day. The pitfalls of living in the concrete jungle I suppose. Worth visiting PDX in the fall?

  6. Love the light in this place! And the floor tiles in the bathroom. And the French name. "Rethought farm." Tis indeed! xo

  7. Natural light is so important in a home. What a lovely and cosy home! And that rustic terrace is right up my alley!

  8. I love this place. especially the floor. is that polished concrete? one day... :)

  9. for beginners like me need a lot of reading and searching for information on various blogs. and articles that you share a very nice and inspires me .
