I am waiting on a rug I ordered before I give the big reveal for M+L's room that I worked on over the summer, but I thought I would share these prints - which are inspired by none other than M+L themselves a.k.a. All-day Everyday and Tiger.  After a couple requests I decided to add them to the shop and they can now be ordered here and here

In other news we are still getting used to this new routine. It's a fairly big adjustment. I am not there yet. Though I am absolutely enjoying the time I have while all of my children are in school. And I am sure once I get used to it, i.e. not spending the first couple hours wandering around my house aimlessly, I see a future with some solidly set work hours, occasional bookstore outings, child-free grocery trips and unencumbered house cleaning. I have to say that I already feel like I am more present for my kids in general being able to think a full thought and being able to finish something I started during school hours. Adjustments aren't always easy but sometimes they are so very worth it.

  1. Love the prints! I am still settling in to the school routine, mostly staring at the wall while the house is completely silent - because I can! btw, I really, really love that font! : )

  2. Transitions are so hard, aren't they? We're still struggling here, and I just said to Neel as he left for work, "I f-ing hate September." Feels traitorous saying that since my son was born in September, but there you are. This first year has to be so hard, as it's so new. But so many exciting things ahead for you! :)

    1. thank you! i am definitely being patient. adjustment . . . well it's an adjustment ;) going to school is work for parents too! there are so many little things i am remembering - like having to make lunches and snacks and schedule doc appointments after school is out, etc. ect.. life is more of juggle that way. but i think it's going to be such a positive trade off getting those hours in the day to get MY stuff done!

  4. LOVE it. So sweet, and one of the perks of being a creative mama is that you can immortalize your kiddos at all their fun stages, in your own ways. Love love. And I'm not going to lie to you, I am insanely jealous of your new schedule, haha. Hope you settle in soon!! xo

  7. hehe going around the house aimlessly.. or other moms I see, talk about going to Target by themselves and getting a slushy and popcorn.

if it were me.. I would do something nice for myself like a cheap pedi and a hot coco :)

    1. when m+l were first born i'd put them in their car seats in the cart and wander around target for hours.

right now it feels like such a treat to get work done. to be able to focus and not feel like i am ignoring anyone. (or not ignoring my work either). so for now i am going with that. when i need to reset and refocus i am sure i will find lots of ways to play hooky with work and treat myself ;)
