House Tour | 18th Century |

Tuesday, November 4, 2014

This house tour of interior designer Ari Heckman and his partner Ethan Feinstein, is one from the pinterest archives. I have seen it pop up over the last couple years and every time I do it it gives me a such a cozy feeling. And now seemed the perfect time to share it on the blog, figuring it may be a good one to keep propelling me towards the acceptance of the fall season we find ourself in (at least those of us who are north of the equator). I can definitely picture myself embracing a long rainy autumn night curled up in front of the fireplace with a faux fur blanket, a good classic book, and a mug of hot chocolate in a place such as this.

You can read more about this beautiful 18th century home and see more pictures in the online version of Lonny mag where it was originally featured

  1. Oh, I want this. Those light floors and beamed ceilings and white walls. This is how winter should be faced, isn't it? Perfect and cozy and bright.

  6. It looks so cosy and warm, like a nice reminder to enjoy autumn's little pleasures, like spending an evening, or an entire weekend, in with a good book and a hot drink.

  7. This seems like a small detail to appreciate, but I love how, in the guest room, the beds are staggered on opposite walls, rather than side by side on the same one. I don't know why that is as important a design choice as it is to me, but there you go. I could do without the antlers or deer head on the wall, though...xo
