House Tour | For One |

Hello! Writing this post I feel like I am re-entering the world on a bright summer day after having been in the a dark theater for several hours. We have been in lazy mode around here - have I been saying that a lot lately? I think maybe I have. But this long weekend was of the extreme variety of which I spent more hours in front of the tv than I'd like to admit publicly. Let's leave it at the fact I watched two entire seasons of a show and worked my way through the third season a bit too and I am likely to spend the next few weeks finding rogue bits of popcorn in and under my couch. It started out innocently enough when we found a show on Netflix that we all could watch together (no small feat for an adult, a teenager and 6 year olds). And, well, we just kept going for hours, which then turned into days. But you know what? It was really fun. However, now I feel like I need to jump into an icy cold lake to snap myself back into reality. Or maybe get inspired by places such as this sweet little apartment where there isn't a couch to melt into. Though, that loft bed does look very inviting.

    1. yeah, i love that loft bed too. in fact i would love to have a little space like this as a work studio - though i'd probably have skip on the actual bed in that case ;)

  2. Was the show LOST? Because that has been my Netflix binge recently. Maybe not appropriate for the littlest kiddos, since there is a lot of blood and terrifying elements, haha. Now I'm curious though! And this apartment. Sigh. I know I'm not supposed to say this as a Newly Married Lady, but I dreeeeam about tiny studio apartments for one all the time. No offense to Jamal ;) I think it's just that Paris apartments are always this small and you know I have a fondness for them, so I'm just prone to wanting something tiny. My dad's apartment/art studio was probably smaller than this, and I loved it. xo

    1. no it wasn't lost but fisher and i watched that together. we've been watching 'once upon a time.' i have to admit though by the end of the 2nd season i started kind of wanting to poke my own eyeballs out - so many potions, so many curses. but still having something we could all get on board with, that was fun!

i'd love to have a space like this for myself too!

  4. that loft bed looks so cozy! imagine you and all your boys piling up THERE for netfilx marathons! that'd be the only other thing to add to what already sounds like a perfect weekend that you had. ok, well except for maybe peanut m&ms. peanut m&m's + popcorn is pretty amazing. ;)

  7. I love weekends like that where you end up doing nothing, but I also know the feeling afterwards when you wonder all of a sudden what on earth you were doing and what else you could have done... and yes, this is a lovely place!

  9. Oh, I've been there: watching entire seasons of a series during the weekend, or worse, during the week days, and losing touch with reality. The first time that happened to me was when I discovered "24". My husband and I would watch it long into the early hours of the morning, then force ourselves to catch at least 4 hours of sleep before leaving for work at 8 a.m.

That working space is absolutely lovely!
